<p><strong>Joseph W. Arata, a lifelong resident of Sayville, on May 10, 2022. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors, as he loved to fish and hunt. He and his buddies would get together on Tuesday and Thursdays for railroad retirement card parties. He loved to eat and cook and was known to everyone as &ldquo;Tomato Joe&rdquo; for his gardening skills. Most of all Joseph loved his family and friends.</strong></p> <p><strong>He is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughters Veronica Lumley, and Regina Hansel, and her husband Jay, and his five grandchildren.</strong></p> <p><em>Visitation- Thursday May 12, 2022 from 2-4:30 &amp; 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home</em></p> <p><i>​Chapel&nbsp;Service- Friday May 13, 2022 at&nbsp;11:00 a.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home</i></p> <p><i>Interment- St.&nbsp;Lawrence Cemetery&nbsp;</i></p>

Obituary

Joseph W. Arata, a lifelong resident of Sayville, on May 10, 2022. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors, as he loved to fish and hunt. He and his buddies would get together on Tuesday and Thursdays for railroad retirement card parties. He loved to eat and cook and was known to everyone as “Tomato Joe” for his gardening skills. Most of all Joseph loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughters Veronica Lumley, and Regina Hansel, and her husband Jay, and his five grandchildren.

Visitation- Thursday May 12, 2022 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home
