Clinton-Nancy M. (Spencer) Moody, 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022. She is reunited with her beloved husband 42 years, Everett W. Moody. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Everett W. Moody, Jr. of Lancaster; Raymond E. Moody of Clinton; Sandra J. Houde & Robert of Princeton; Andrea M. Lenard & Richard of Sterling; Robert A. Moody & Colleen of Lancaster; and Melissa A. Wagg & Andrew of Princeton. She leaves her sister Francis Mahan; brother-in-law Joseph Doninni, both of Clinton; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. She is pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law Francine (Patenaude) Moody, grandson Robert A. Moody, Jr., sister Betty Jane Doninni, and brother Eugene Spencer.

Nancy was born at home in Sterling, daughter of the late George & Madeline (Parker) Spencer. Raised and educated in Clinton, she graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1948. In addition to raising her family as a devoted lifelong homemaker, Nancy worked for several companies, notably Blake Manufacturing, Bolton Orchards, Clinton Hospital, and Wachusett Medical Billing, from where she ultimately retired at the age of 89. Nancy was a woman of great faith and devoted life member of the First Congregational Church of Clinton, where she served on numerous committees and was a cherished member of the Women’s Fellowship group. She was proudest in her role as family matriarch and will be forever remembered as a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 3 until 5PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the First Congregational Church of Clinton, 34 Walnut St., Clinton, with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton.
