Young Soon Doolen, 79, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at The Woodbury Mews in Woodbury, NJ. Born in Korea, Young Soon moved to Germany in 1965 and was married to Robert Doolen in Switzerland in 1967. She moved to the United States and settled in San Antonio, TX, in 1968. When she came to Philadelphia, PA in 1990, Young Soon opened her own children’s fashion retail business until 2012. She had an incredible work ethic. A devoted mother, she worked hard to provide for her family whom she loved dearly. Predeceased by her parents, Su Myeong and Ok Sun Lee; her husband, Robert Doolen; her sister and brother-in-law, Yong Ye and Gus Bartz; and her sister-in-law, Im Sun Lee; she is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Anne Baumgartner, Inge and Travis Pratt, Roberta and Kent Kuykendoll, and Roxanna and Dracos Locario; her grandchildren, Lauran and Ralph Chieffo, Christopher Pratt, Natalie and Dan Bondarchuk, Ryan Pratt, Sydney, Samantha, Alyxandra, and Preston Kuykendoll, and Julia and Joshua Locario; her great-grandchildren, Calvin and Felix; her brothers and their wives, Yong Ho Lee, Thomas and Sandra Lee, and Yong and Sun Lee, her sister, Yong Sook Kim; and her many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Masks are optional for attendees of services honoring Young Soon.
