Alejandro de Jesus Benitez-Gomez
Unexpectedly passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the age of 59. Caring father of Alex Bungert, Ashley Bungert, Austin Benitez and Alayna Benitez. Loving son of Enrique Benitez and the late Ana Cecilia Gomez. Cherished brother of Francisco (Carrie) Benitez, Fabian (Michelle) Benitez and Jake Benitez. further survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, relatives and friends in the USA and Colombia.<br>Alejandro loved soccer his whole life. He won the Boys Soccer WISAA State Championship as a forward with Pope Pius XI High School in 1980. He served his country as a member of the United States Army where he was an Armor Crewman operating tanks. In 2017 he was awarded "Veteran of the Month".<br>Visitation SATURDAY, May 14, 2022 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Military Honors to follow.<br>Obituary
