Passed away on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022 after months of declining health at the age of 94. Crystal was born June 25, 1927, the oldest of Rex and Fanny Hurd’s eight children. Crystal married Wilson “Bill” Bump in 1948 and together they had three children. She worked many years as a teachers aide and in her retirement she read to students at Gardner Rd School. Her loving family includes her children David (Phyllis) Bump, Scott (Sonjia) Bump, and Sue (Tim) Kramer. Crystal has six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband and all her siblings. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 12-2PM. Her Funeral Service will follow at 2PM with Pastor Doug Forman. Crystal will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following.
