Corey Blundon

Corey Blundon of St. John’s passed suddenly away at age 51 years on May 6, 2022.

From the time he was a little boy, Corey loved trout fishing. He could spend hours standing by the side of a pond, often coming home after dark with his catch. Sometimes he took a sleeping bag and tent and stayed all night. When he lived in Wabush, he loved snowmobiling, skiing and curling, but his lifetime love was fishing.

He was a hard worker, but his work took him away from home for long periods. He enjoyed spending time at his camper with Kaela and friends, taking long walks and playing games. He will be dearly missed.

Corey is predeceased by his grandparents Albert and Alice (Coish) Blundon and Phonce and Carmel (Hatch) Kehoe; cousin Kurtis Blundon; aunts and uncles.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, children Cortney, Daniel, Xavier (and their mother Eileen); step-child Jeanine; step-grandchildren Spencer and Preston; parents Randy and Lillian (Kehoe) Blundon; brother Stephen (Amy) Blundon; special friend and partner Kaela Ogletree; nephews Parker and Isaiah; a large number of extended family, friends and work colleagues.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s. Funeral service will take place on Saturday May 14^th at 2:00pm from Barrett’s Chapel. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road, St. John’s.
