Scott Douglass Taylor
TAYLOR---Mr. Scott Douglass Taylor, age 80 of Orange Park, FL passed away May 6, 2022. Scott was born August 5, 1941 in Defuniak Springs, Walton County, FL the son of Edwin Holley Taylor, Jr. and Edith Douglass Taylor. Scott proudly served our country in the United States Navy for nearly 10 years. He would go on to retire following over 30 years of distinguished service with the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office Corrections Division and having attained the rank of Captain. Scott had a great passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He also enjoyed hiking and along with his wife Lee, trained for two years and together they climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. Scott is best remembered for the love and care he gave in raising his family. In addition to his loving wife Lee, Scott is survived by his daughter Casey Lee Molumby (Matthew); his son Bryan Alan Pass; grandchildren Brantley Pass, Colin Molumby, Gisele Pass and Scarlet Pass. Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday May 11, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL with Chaplain Clarence Jarrell officiating. Military Honors will be conferred. Those attending should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery. Scott you will be deeply missed. You were the best thing to happen to my friend Lee and I was so honored to join you both in holy matrimony! I will always treasure your humor and the laughter. It's just hard right now to totally accept you are gone. RIP Scott until.
