Glen Edward Shore

<p>Mr. Glen Edward Shore, 77, a resident of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday May 7, 2022.</p> <p>Glen was born October 3, 1944 in Watauga County, NC, a son of the late Dennis Sanders Shore and the late Pauline Liza Luttrell Shore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Shore, a brother, James Shore, a sister, Eva Mae Dellinger. Glen was a manager of the meat department for Food Fair grocery store before his retirement. Glen loved classic cars and tractors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a jack of all trades. Glen was a loving husband, father and brother and especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. On October 3, 1963 he married Florence Marie Frye who survives of the home.</p> <p>Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Dennis Shore of Winston-Salem, David Shore (Elizabeth) of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Aaron Shore, Felicia Shore, KariAnn Godwin (Sonny), Tena Shore; great-grandchildren, Mike, Eric, Xaiden, Everson; his sisters, Thelma Greene (Larry) and Diana Greene (Tommy) all of Lenoir; brother-in-law, Tom Dellinger of Tobaccoville; cousin, Homer Shore, Jr. (Emmy) of Boone; several nieces and nephews and his canine companions Grace and Hope.</p> <p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the J. C. Green and Sons Chapel, 10301 N. NC Highway 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 with Pastor David Hedrick officiating. Entombment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of the donor&rsquo;s choice.
