<p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Nancy Carol Klampe of Moravia IA died on May 5th 2022, at the age of 78.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Nancy was born on August 18, 1943 in Albia, Iowa to Dallas and Nina (Griffin) Faber. She lived most of her life in and around Moravia, and a short time in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Jackson, Kentucky, and Keokuk, Iowa. She graduated from Moravia High School in 1961.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Nancy married John Russell of Oskaloosa, and to the union was born one daughter, Susan Carole Russell. On April 24, 1965, she married Donald R. Klampe. She was a stay-at-home mom for several years before being employed as a cook at the Albia Manor, and then for nineteen years as a school cook at Moravia Community Schools. She was also a cook at Mt. Carmel Christian School in Vancleve, KY and Kirksville Bible School in Kirksville, MO.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>She was a long-time member of the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene in Moravia, where she taught Sunday School for many years, as well as being the Missionary President. She loved cooking for family, reading, jig saw puzzles and writing for a column in the Moravia Paper and posting on Facebook.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Nancy is survived by her step-sons, Roderick Klampe of Altoona IA, Robert Klampe of Mooresville IN, James Klampe of Altoona, IA; her daughter, Susan (Ronnie) Welch of Moulton, IA; along with several grandchildren &amp; great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Rose) Faber of Moravia, IA; and a sister, Norma Martin of Moravia, IA.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Klampe; her parents, Dallas &amp; Nina Faber; and grandparents, Ruben &amp; Fairie VanDorin Faber and Harry &amp; Ida Griffin; a grandson, Travis Welch; a sister, Nadine Squires; and brothers-in-law, Butch Martin &amp; Eddie Squires.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>She will be sadly missed by her family and a host of other relatives and friends.</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM, Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene in Moravia IA with Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia, IA. Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 at the Lange Funeral Home in Moravia with the family greeting friends from 5-7PM. Nancy Carol Klampe of Moravia IA died on May 5th 2022, at the age of 78.

Nancy was born on August 18, 1943 in Albia, Iowa to Dallas and Nina (Griffin) Faber. She lived most of her life in and around Moravia, and a short time in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Jackson, Kentucky, and Keokuk, Iowa. She graduated from Moravia High School in 1961.

Nancy married John Russell of Oskaloosa, and to the union was born one daughter, Susan Carole Russell. On April 24, 1965, she married Donald R. Klampe. She was a stay-at-home mom for several years before being employed as a cook at the Albia Manor, and then for nineteen years as a school cook at Moravia Community Schools. She was also a cook at Mt.
