It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Marshal. Marshal Bradley McManus died the night of Tuesday May 3, 2022, as the result of an automobile accident. Those who knew Marshal, loved Marshal. He was caring, fun-loving, kind, respectful, and genuine. Marshal valued the differences in others and in himself. Marshal most loved spending time with his family and friends. He and his girlfriend Gracie were inseparable. Marshal enjoyed kayaking, fishing, gaming, playing golf, photography, and watching sports. He was an avid fan of the Chiefs and Royals. Marshal was a junior at Dowling Catholic High School.<br><br>Marshal was gifted by God to his parents Jackie and Brad, sister Alyssa, and brother Derek on December 14, 2004. He later won the hearts of his stepmom Kelley McManus, stepsister Dani Hubbard, and stepbrother Ryan Hubbard. Marshal brought joy and laughter to every family gathering. His loved ones often remarked, “oh Marshal” in response to something he said or did. Marshal was predeceased by maternal grandparents Helen and Marshal (‘Snerd’) Green of Osage IA. He inherited his name and quirkiness from his grandfather. He is survived by his parents, sister, nephew Jadyn, brother, stepmom, stepsister, stepbrother, and grandparents Joy and Ed McManus who held a special place in his heart. Marshal liked visiting with extended family, including the Yurgaes from West Des Moines Iowa, Ruehlows from Osage Iowa, Strickers from Osage Iowa, Wellses from Boone Iowa, and Greens from Indianapolis Indiana. Marshal enjoyed spending time with his countless friends. <br><br>Marshal had a special bond with his young nephew, Jadyn. Uncle “Caca” and Jadyn spent countless hours playing together. Marshal was extremely proud to be an uncle. <br><br>Iles Dunn’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. A visitation will be held at Iles Dunn’s, located at 2121 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA, 50312, on Monday May 9 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Vigil will follow at 7:00 pm. The family encourages all who knew Marshal to attend to share memories and celebrate his life. Funeral services will be held at St Pius X Catholic Church, located at 3663 66th St, Urbandale, IA, 50322, on Tuesday May 10 at 10:00 am. A lunch will follow the service. <br><br>To honor Marshal, the family asks that you carry forward his value system in your own lives. Be kind, be a little quirky, accept others for who they are, and help make this world a better place. <br>
