Minor “Red” Nichols, Sr.

Minor J. “Red” Nichols, Sr., of Norfolk, VA, passed away on May 2, 2022. Born in Roanoke, VA, on January 14, 1934, Frank and Lonia Nichols, he was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, son, Mark and two grandsons, Robert and Ryan. Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 69 years, Ann; sons, Jeff and wife, Judy, Mike, and Marty and wife, Shelly; daughters, Donna and husband, Denny, and Susie and husband, Larry ; daughter-in-law, Jody; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Red retired after 30 years of service from Southern Amusements. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Dr. Chapel on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12 p.m. followed by interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
