Born in Eminence MO, in the hills of Shannon County where he learned to sing like Roy Acuff. Long time loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Browns.
He enjoyed trips to Leasburg or Eminence with Irene, being outdoors gardening or cutting the grass on his "tractor" which he did into his 90's.
Worked parts of three decades for Prudential Insurance. In 1975 went to work for St. Anthony's Hospital as a security officer where he met the love of his life, Irene.
