<p>LUZ ALVAREZ MARQUEZ, 68, resident of Lordsburg passed away Friday April 29, 2022 at University Medical Center in El Paso.</p> <p>Visitation will be Tuesday May 10, 2022 beginning at 9 o&rsquo;clock in the morning at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Catholic Church where the rosary will begin at 10 o&rsquo;clock.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating.&nbsp; Concluding services and interment will be at Shakespeare Cemetery.</p> <p>Luz was born September 21, 1953 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Alfonso and Guadalupe Sifuentes Alvarez.&nbsp; She has lived in Lordsburg most all her life and was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph&rsquo;s Catholic Church.&nbsp; Luz enjoyed sewing and knitting and especially making special things for her family and grandchildren.&nbsp; Being the person she was, Luz was always willing to help anyone in need.</p> <p>She is survived by her children, Joseph Marquez of Lordsburg, Yasmine Estrada (Gabriel) of Las Cruces, Sabrina Booth (Alan) of Shelby Township, MI, Suehaye Fraley (Bill) of Lordsburg; brothers and sisters, Tere (Armando), Manuel (Ivonne), Lupe, Martha (John), Alfonso (Lupe), Burt (Vickie), Margie (David), Rocio (Robert), Peter (Vickie), Sally (David), Tico (Melody), 5 grandchildren, Kaylee, Ethan, Kayden, Kayson, and Jacob and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson, Estevan Estrada, and brother Louis.</p> <p>Pallbearers will be Alfonso Alvarez, Michael Montano, John Ellingsworth, Kayden Booth, Ethan Estrada and John Sierra.&nbsp; Honorary bearers are Kayson Booth, Jacob Marquez, Cash Alvarez, Cynthia Alvarez and Javier Mendoza.</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
