Sherry Lynn Miller Casper, Wyoming Obituary

Sherry Lynn Miller

Sherry Lynn Miller, age 81, passed away at her home on April 27, 2022. She was born December 7, 1940 in Laramie, Wyoming to Harold and Mary Kiser. She was a mother to 3 daughters: Jennie, Coleen, and Lindsey. She was grandmother to Rowan, Solomon, Tennyson, and Saoirse, whom she enjoyed spoiling with pockets full of fruit snacks. She is greatly missed by all.

It is difficult to distill her life into a few words that do justice to her. She had a tremendous impact on the world around her, although she would modestly disagree with you. She was tough. The kind of tough that only a native Wyomingite would truly comprehend. She would be loath to ever fully admit to being in pain or needing help. Her steady capability ensured that she rarely needed any help anyway.

She was a hard and dedicated worker in all that she did, with a work ethic that she passed on to her daughters whether they liked it or not. She didn’t just work for herself, though. She sacrificed and invested in her family.

She loved traveling, from the Grand Canyon to the rugged coast of the Pacific Ocean and all the places in between. Her favorite places were Yellowstone and the Oregon Coast. She explored the state of Wyoming, visiting the myriad of small towns and historical sites.

Her love of reading was undeniable- there was always a wide selection of reading material at her fingertips from periodicals such as Hollywood tabloids, the local newspaper, National Geographic, Smithsonian, and Archaeology. There wasn’t a book genre that she didn’t tackle. Fiction and nonfiction alike were voraciously consumed.

She will be forever missed and loved. Thank you, Mom, for all that you did for us.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home, 600 CY Ave, Casper, WY 82601.
