Mary Elizabeth Zic, 98, a longtime resident of Red Hook, NY, passed away on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 at The Baptist Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY. Born on August 3, 1923, in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Emmerick and Angela Skuba. Mary is a graduate of Red Hook Schools. Mary married Daniel B. Zic on December 6, 1952 at St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY. Daniel predeceased her on October 2, 2000. For over 30 years, Mary worked as a Pharmacist Assistant at Cowhig's -Rexall Pharmacy in Red Hook, NY. She retired in 1987, to spend more time with her grandchildren. Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook, NY 12571. She is survived by her daughter in law, Marianne Zic of Red Hook, NY; her grandchildren, Samuel Zic of Red Hook, NY, Jeffrey Zic of Kingston, NY, and Derek Zic of Germantown, NY; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her husband and parents, her son, Daniel B Zic, and a brother, John Skuba predeceased her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM at St. Christopher's Church, Red Hook, NY. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.
