Obituary

Bryan Douglas Callaway was born on May 19th, 1971 in Cleburne, Texas to Steven and Jennifer Callaway of Burleson, Texas.  He passed away on April 27, 2022, with his family by his side.

Bryan had an amazing zest for life, loved his family and the great outdoors.  Camping and fishing were his favorites.  He was a great artist and a pirate at heart.  He enjoyed yelling for his favorite football team, the Patriots.  He was a professional mixologist for 30 years.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Steven Douglas Callaway; his grandparents Geraldine Callaway, Eddie and Patsy Rich, and Lester and Theda Sain.

Bryan is survived by his son, Xander Brady Callaway and ex-wife Candy Callaway; Mother Jennifer Sain and step-father Alan Sain; brothers Damon Callaway and Little Alan Sain; grandfather Melvin Callaway; Aunt and Uncle Kenny and Robin Short; Aunt and Uncle Eddie and Sheila Rich; Aunt and Uncle Kenny and Gene Rich, and girlfriend Angel Glee; and Aunt Polly Sain.  He had one nephew, Ryland Ray Callaway and numerous cousins and friends.

Bryan was born on a Wednesday under a crescent moon.  On each successive morning, a crescent moon will show us less and less of its light.  Each day, it rises closer to the sunrise, heading for the new moon, when the moon will be between the earth and the sun.  Bryan passed away on a Wednesday, also under a crescent moon.  Under a crescent moon, we should rest and let go of the things we no longer need.  As the moon is close to finishing its cycle, we are, too.  We should reflect upon ourselves, our Lord and our journey in this life.
