Stephen Brien

Stephen (Pa) Brien, 80, of Fremont, NH, passed away peacefully on April 22 surrounded by loved ones. Born November 8, 1941, to Stephen G. and Rita (Demers) Brien, he was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA. As a gifted tradesman and owner/operator of Stephen’s Heating for nearly 40 years, Stephen also had a passion for big band music and was a talented vocalist and trumpeter with his father’s band ‘The Silvertones’. A notably dedicated husband of 60 years, he is survived by his wife, Claire Brien. An extremely proud father, he leaves behind six children: Doris O’Neill and husband Patrick of Salem; Julie Schiller and husband Jon of Fremont; Stephen, Jr. and wife JoAnn of Plaistow; Lynne Kirk and husband Joe of Maryland; Patrick and wife Shanna of Newmarket; Nicholas and wife Asha of Concord. Stephen also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren: Lucas O’Neill, Emma O’Neill, Faith Schiller, Lily Brien, Spencer Brien, Owen Kirk, Sydney Kirk, Kendall Kirk, Adalyn Brien, Allyse Brien, Jack Brien, Mikhayla and Gavin Singer, and one great-grandchild Jaxton Bongiorno-Kirk. Stephen will be dearly remembered by his two sisters; Lucette Sullivan and Charlotte Brien as well as his sister in law, Louise Ross and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A service will take place on Saturday, April 30th. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a brief visitation with family just prior to the mass between 10:30-11:00A. Mass will immediately follow at 11:00AM, burial will be private. All services will be conducted at Saint Joseph Parish located at 200 Pleasant St, Epping, NH 03042. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association by visiting www. diabetes.org. Cremation services provided The Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping, NH.
