Loydean Kendall Rump

Loydean Frances Kendall Rump, 88, of Agency, died at 4:20 a.m. April 26, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa. She was born November 23, 1933 in Ottumwa to Lloyd Francis and Josephine Cecilia Patkin Kendall. A 1951 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Loydean was a clerk at Osco Drug for 20 years. Loydean attended First Pentecostal Assembly of God. She served as State Past President of Degree of Honor, was a member of O.B. Nelson Unit #3 American Legion Auxiliary and Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Loydean volunteered for Ridgewood Care Center for 11 years, for Share and had worked the Wapello County elections for many years at the Agency location. She loved her friends, dogs, bingo and spending time with her friends and family. Surviving are her daughters, Andrea (Dean) Fisher of Ottumwa and Linda (Leo) Smith of Dale, TX; 6 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey Guthrie of Rio Linda, CA. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Skylar and sisters, Barbara Hatleli and Dora Mathis; and her precious pup, Angel. Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. Sunday, May 1st at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 2nd at First Pentecostal Assembly of God with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. For those unable to attend the service, it may be viewed on the First Pentecostal Assembly of God Facebook page. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
