John A. Aman

<p>John A. Aman, age 88, of North Canton, passed away on April 24, 2022. He was born in Hartville on June 18, 1933, to William G. and Roseann (Santry) Aman and graduated from Hartville High School and the University of Notre Dame, class of 1955. Following graduation, John began his business career with his father at the Garden Fruit and Cherry Company. Following his time at the family business, he spent most of his career in independent sales, ultimately purchasing a business, Met-All Industries and Colonial Chemical, that he ran with his wife and son, Michael. John was an avid enthusiast of his grandchildren&rsquo;s sports, following them across Ohio, and loved Notre Dame football and playing and watching golf. As a lover of home and auto projects, John had the skill set to repair and fix almost anything.</p> <p>John is preceded in death by his brothers William and Robert. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, with whom he spent over 60 years; children John (Beth), Michael, Jim (Stacie), and Matt (Julie); grandchildren Mike, Chris, Anna, Alex, Sydney, Emily (Will), Clare, Liam, Eric and Kyle; great granddaughter Felicity; sister Marilyn.</p> <p>Calling hours will be Monday, May 2, from 6-8 PM with prayer vigil to follow at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville at 504 West Maple Street. Memorial Mass will be at St. Paul Catholic Church, 241 S Main St., North Canton on May 3, at 10 AM with Father Brian Smith officiating. Final resting place is Calvary Cemetery.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
