John Howard Cannon Obituary

John Howard Cannon

1946-2022

John Howard Cannon passed away on April 20, 2022, in Haltom City, TX. John preferred to go by the name Howard his entire life.  Howard was born on July 4, 1946, in Georgetown, TX to Thomas Cannon and Doris (Trammel) Cannon. He moved to Houston as a young child and spent most of his life living in the area.

He is survived by many family members who were the light of his life, including children, Steven “Steve” Royce Cannon, Courtney Michelle Garcia, Timothy “Tim” Scott Cannon, and fur baby Pepper; Grandchildren, Kayte Martin, Kyle Lapaglia, Caleb Cannon, Cody Cannon, Sadie Cannon, Mackenzie Mehallic, Macie Mehallic, Michael Sumpter, Blayne Mehallic, and Jordan Sizemore; his great grandchildren, Marlee Martin, Preslee Martin, and Reyne Martin. As well as many other family members and friends.

Howard dedicated his life to the City of Houston Fire Department from 1969-2000 when he retired. He had many other ventures afterwards where he never met a stranger. He loved to joke and kept very busy with his family and friends. No one in Howard’s life can quite put him on how much he meant to them into words. Just that he will be dearly missed by everyone who he touched in his 75 years.

Howard is proceeded in death by his mother, Doris Eileen (Trammel) Cannon; father, Thomas “Tommy” Howard Cannon; and daughter, Carrie Renee Cannon.
