Robert (Bob) Mancinelli Obituary

Robert (Bob) Mancinelli, 62, of Absecon, NJ passed away on April 22, 2022, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Williamstown and lived in Margate when he graduated Holy Spirit High School in 1977. In 1986, he married his soulmate and moved to Absecon where they raised their family.

Bob started his career in door-to-door sales with the Kirby Vacuum Company right out of high school. He excelled at every level in the business, and quickly moved up to management and distribution, before 1997 when he and his wife took over and became business owners. This afforded them many travel opportunities and helped forge some of their closest relationships in life.

Bob was known as a beacon of positivity, full of love, life, and generosity. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. A loyal Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and 76ers fan, Bob held a deep passion for sports and shared this affection with others with over 25+ years of voluntary coaching with Absecon ASAC and Blue Devils.

As many know, Bob's other great love was food; he spent much of his time finding the perfect slice of pizza, judging the best looking plate someone made themselves at a meal or gathering, and settling in after a long day for some "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". It didn't really matter how something tasted, he thought everything he ate was "phenomenal." He tried as often as he could to share his love of food (and many many hearty genuine laughs) with those he loved.

Bob is predeceased by his father, Richard; and his nephew, Richard Allen. He is survived by his mother, Lola (Colleluori); wife, Lori (Bobkovich Swan); brother, Richard (Esther); children, Robert (Christiann), Nicholas (Yisel), Victoria (Nicholas) Debenedictis; and grandchildren, Olivia, Layla, Francesca, and Gianna.

There will be a Viewing 10AM to 12PM on Saturday, April 30th at Beacon Evangelical Free Church, 420 S. 6th Ave., Galloway, with a memorial service to follow. At Bob's request, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Beacon Church, at the above address or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
