<p><strong>Sarah Karal Holt Cooper</strong>, the tenth child of the late James Holt and Mary Julia Holt,<br /> was born on October 15, 1920 in Quincy, Florida. Sarah left her Earthly home to her<br /> Heavenly home on April 10, 2022 from Riverchase Nursing Home.</p> <p><br /> Preceding her in death were her husband&rsquo;s Leon Harrison and Rev. Henry Cooper Jr.;<br /> parents, James and Mary Julia Holt; brothers, John Holt, Freddie Holt, Jessie Holt,<br /> Charleston Holt Sr., and Harry Holt; sisters, Beatrice Holt, Lucille Holt, Lovie Mims, Ada<br /> Houston, Lettie Ann Thompson, Lucy Bellamy, and Easter Mae Holt.</p> <p><br /> She attended the Public Schools of Gadsden County. At an early age, she joined Mt.<br /> Olive AME Church in 1933 under the Pastor Rev. Pinkney. She later joined Shiloh P.B.<br /> Church in 1940 where she served as a former Catechism Class teacher, choir member<br /> and as a Member of the Mother&rsquo;s Board.</p> <p><br /> To cherish her memories are three daughters: Marva Jean Rivers (Walter) of Baltimore,<br /> M.D., Shirley McMillian (Preston) of Easton, P.A., and Patricia Cooper of Saylorsburg,<br /> P.A., and one son: Ralph Cooper, Sr. (Mary) of Fort Lauderdale, F.L.<br /> Sarah is survived by 15 grandchildren, Cyr Rivers, Phyllis Cooper (D), Bridgette Miller<br /> (Larry), Walter Rivers Jr.(Kim), Cedric Cooper (D), Kecia Rivers (D), Tracey Cooper,<br /> Dionne McMillian-Thorne (Darrell), Richelyn E. Penn-Mekile (Michael), Beth Norman<br /> (Michael), Richetta E. Penn, Ralph Cooper Jr., Brandi Goodwin (Enrico), Eileen Rivers,<br /> Richard E. Penn III, Richmon E. Penn (Colleen), Richton E. Penn (Majeta), and<br /> Richanna E. Penn-Russ (Wade); 38 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great-<br /> grandchildren; two sister-in-laws: Inez Holt and Geraldine Holt of Quincy, F.L.; a very<br /> special niece: Leola Francis and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends<br /> who loved her dearly.</p>

Obituary

Sarah Karal Holt Cooper, the tenth child of the late James Holt and Mary Julia Holt,
was born on October 15, 1920 in Quincy, Florida. Sarah left her Earthly home to her
Heavenly home on April 10, 2022 from Riverchase Nursing Home.


Preceding her in death were her husband’s Leon Harrison and Rev. Henry Cooper Jr.;
parents, James and Mary Julia Holt; brothers, John Holt, Freddie Holt, Jessie Holt,
Charleston Holt Sr., and Harry Holt; sisters, Beatrice Holt, Lucille Holt, Lovie Mims, Ada
Houston, Lettie Ann Thompson, Lucy Bellamy, and Easter Mae Holt.


She attended the Public Schools of Gadsden County. At an early age, she joined Mt.
