<p>Roger Ray Walker, 83, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.</p> <p><br /> Roger was born September 9th, 1938 in Golden City, Missouri and is survived by his wife, Susan (Forste) Walker, his children Cheryl (Bryan) Seybert of Oak Grove, Christine (Jeff) Elliott of Leawood, Paul Walker of Overland Park, and a total of nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Thelma Walker, and his brother Warren Walker.</p> <p><br /> Roger was not afraid of risk and left his job to start a successful computer services business, Accent Computer, at the forefront of financial statement preparation for area accounting firms.&nbsp;<br /> He was an avid car and truck enthusiast throughout his life and enjoyed participating in many sports during his younger years, including Golden City High School&rsquo;s baseball, basketball and football programs. He was also the 1959 Golden Glove regional champion.</p> <p><br /> Later in life, Roger loved following the local sports teams, listening to music, woodworking, and traveling to enjoy the outdoors (he was especially fond of Hawai&rsquo;i).&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> Roger&rsquo;s life will be celebrated on June 4th, 2022 from 11:30 am -1:30 pm in Leawood, Kansas, followed by a graveside service and burial the following day in Golden City, Missouri.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Roger Ray Walker, 83, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.


Roger was born September 9th, 1938 in Golden City, Missouri and is survived by his wife, Susan (Forste) Walker, his children Cheryl (Bryan) Seybert of Oak Grove, Christine (Jeff) Elliott of Leawood, Paul Walker of Overland Park, and a total of nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Thelma Walker, and his brother Warren Walker.
