Karen Ann Williams

<p>Karen Ann Williams, 78, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away April 16, 2022, at her home in West Valley, Utah, with family by her side. She was lovingly cared for by Quality Home Health &amp; Hospice and her grandchildren, Alex Wilson and Nikki Trowbridge.</p> <p>Karen was born January 20, 1944, in Afton, Wyoming, to Helen Nina Bateman and Wayne McDougal, but was raised by Lewis Dartt who she considered her Dad. She grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls and Roberts, Idaho. Karen lived most of her life in Idaho Falls. She graduated from Roberts High School.</p> <p>On June 6, 1962, she married Rodney Wayne Bird. They had two children and were later divorced.</p> <p>On October 7, 1968, she married Bert V Ricks. They had three children and were later divorced.</p> <p>On May 16, 1990, Karen married Keith A. Williams. They made their home in Chester, Idaho. Keith passed away May 3, 2003. She worked as a dish washer and laundress in a nursing home. She was also a volunteer at schools.</p> <p>She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings.</p> <p>Karen loved her sister weekends, spending time with family, camping, doing craft projects and going to church. She liked to work on genealogy. Karen enjoyed making blankets, traveling, crochet and cross-stitch.</p> <p>She loved her family so much. She is survived by her children, Lewis (Jill) Bird of Idaho Falls ID, Nina (Kevin) Wilding of Salt Lake City, UT, BJ (Tenia) Ricks of Idaho Falls, ID, David (Stephanie) Williams of Normandy, MO, Robert (Kathie) Ricks of Haw River, NC; brother, Jim (Sandra) Dartt; sisters, Nancy (Keith) Richards, Judy (Arlen) O&#39;Brien, Leatha (George) Fernandez, Christy (Tommy) Bennett, and Debbie (Andy) Carpenter; 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, 3&nbsp;step grandchildren, and 14&nbsp;step-great grandchildren.&nbsp;</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; her parents, Lewis and Helen Dartt; brothers, Wayne, Bill, and Samuel; and sister, Kathy.</p> <p>Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Chester Cemetery near St. Anthony. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
