Dennis M. Gierhart, age 69, of Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Sidney, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Palm Garden of Sun City Center, FL.

He was born October 27, 1952, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Richard E. and Mary Helen (Keiber) Gierhart who both have preceded him in death.

Other survivors include (3) brothers: Gary L Gierhart of Auburndale, Florida, Ronald S. Gierhart of Covington, Ohio, David R.(Donna) Gierhart of Acworth, Georgia and (4) sisters: Barbara A (Mike) Kinstle of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Linda D. Bristow of Sun City Center, Florida, Karen S. (Perry) Connor of Apollo Beach, Florida, Sandra J. Smith of Sun City Center, Florida. He is also survived by two special brothers, George Sargent of Covington, Ohio and Ernest Mackie of Auburndale, Florida.

Dennis graduated from Sidney High School and attended Fairhaven Adult Day Care in Sidney, Ohio until moving to Florida, as well as Pacifica (now called Sun City Senior Living) in Sun City Center while living in Florida. He had developed many friendships at Palm Garden. He loved puzzles, crosswords, playing bingo and cards, family gatherings, watching old game shows and his pet Sophie. He also had a love for music, including playing the morocca during music time at Palm Garden.

There will be a private family service on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Rd. Sidney, Ohio. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson, Ohio.
