Donald Rex Pohlenz

Graveside services for Donald Rex Pohlenz, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Prices Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 P.M., Thursday at the cemetery, prior to the service.

Donald Rex Pohlenz was born on October 29, 1927 in Freeport, Kansas and was called home to heaven on April 16, 2022 at the age of 94. Don proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He worked in commercial construction for most of his adult life, retiring in 1985 from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas after 19 years of employment.

He and his dear wife, Evelyn (Evie) Mock Pohlenz were married on February 17, 1946 and shared 64 wonderful years together prior to her death on May 12, 2010. They enjoyed RV traveling, and in the last couple of years, Don blessed many friends and family members with items crafted in his workshop.

He is survived by their children, Denny Pohlenz and wife, Cindy, LaDonna Renfro and husband, Bryan; and Curtis Pohlenz and wife, Charolette; grandsons, Chris Everett, Donald Pohlenz II, and their families.
