<p>Mrs. Geraldine Padgett, age 86, of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Custead Care Center in Orange Park. She was born on July 12, 1935, in Ocilla, Georgia, to Edwin and Rosie May (Kelly) Harper. Geraldine was a lifelong resident of Maxville and was a member of Son Rise Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who devoted her time to the care of her family.<br /> Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sammie Padgett; brother, Edgar &ldquo;Buddy&rdquo; Harper, sister, Daphne Kelly; and daughter, Sandra Caldwell.<br /> Survivors include her sons, Roger Padgett (Margaret) of Maxville, Keith Padgett of Maxville,&nbsp;and Randy Padgett (Kathy) of Middleburg; sister, Juanita Norman of Maxville;&nbsp;7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; along with other dear friends and family.<br /> Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in the Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Matt Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.<br /> Arrangements are entrusted to the care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL &amp; CREMATION, 380 N. Mrs. Geraldine Padgett, age 86, of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Custead Care Center in Orange Park. Survivors include her sons, Roger Padgett (Margaret) of Maxville, Keith Padgett of Maxville, and Randy Padgett (Kathy) of Middleburg; sister, Juanita Norman of Maxville; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; along with other dear friends and family.
