<p>(Gail Irene Hudson&nbsp;<br /> Born April 6, 1947 Died April 6, 2022&nbsp;<br /> Gail Hudson was born in Phildelphia, PA, and moved to the Los Angeles area at age 3 with her&nbsp;<br /> mother and sisters. She graduated from Mark Kepple High School in Alhambra.&nbsp;<br /> In 1969 Gail enlisted in the United States Navy. She served as a corpsman for 20 years. She was&nbsp;<br /> stationed at many hospitals around the world. While stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War&nbsp;<br /> she cared for many service members wounded in Vietnam. She participated in the evacuation of&nbsp;<br /> the U.S. Embassy in Saigon. She was involved in medical research of infectious diseases at&nbsp;<br /> NAMRU outside of Cairo, Egypt.&nbsp;<br /> After retiring from the Navy in 1989 Gail settled in the San Diego area where she was a National&nbsp;<br /> Service Officer for Disabled American Veterans where she advocated for veterans&rsquo; benefits. She&nbsp;<br /> also served as a member of the Department of Veterans Affairs Rating Board at the VARO in&nbsp;<br /> San Diego. She&nbsp;was a 17-year survivor of breast cancer. In December of 2021 Gail was diagnosed with&nbsp;<br /> COVID-19 and remained ill until her death on her 75th birthday.&nbsp;<br /> Gail is survived by her spouse Patricia Cutler, her sister Helen Hudson and &ldquo;adopted&rdquo; sister Julie&nbsp;<br /> Ivey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Hudson, and her sister, Eleanor&nbsp;<br /> Newcomer.&nbsp;<br /> In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Living Beyond Breast Cancer&nbsp;<br /> (LBBC.org/give) or the Military Women&rsquo;s Memorial, Memorial Ave, Schley Dr, Arlington, VA&nbsp;<br /> 22202</p>

Gail Hudson was born in Phildelphia, PA, and moved to the Los Angeles area at age 3 with her 
mother and sisters. She graduated from Mark Kepple High School in Alhambra. 
In 1969 Gail enlisted in the United States Navy. She served as a corpsman for 20 years. She was
