Zane Ross Rollins, 66, of Asheville, NC passed away on April 10, 2022 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. Born April 21, 1955 he was a son of the late Charles and Edith Gasperson Rollins. He was employed for several years by R & L Paving Company in Asheville. Of his many passions in life playing his guitar and singing, being in nature, and watching his bird feeders were among his favorites, but nothing exceeded the enjoyment he got from spending time with his grandchildren.” Noah, Liam, Hadley and Harrison. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Howard Rollins, Callie Williams, Matt Rollins, Randy Rollins, Charles Rollins, Wayne Rollins, and Michael Rollins. Surviving are his children, Sierra Yakopovich and her spouse, Pauly, and Zane Ross Rollins, Jr. all of Asheville, NC; siblings: David Rollins and his spouse, Elizabeth, Augusta, GA, Charlene Lance of Fairview, NC, Pamela Dockery of Asheville, NC, and Ginger Johnston of Asheville, NC; grandchildren: Noah Yakopovich, Liam Yakopovich, Hadley Yakopovich, and Harrison Yakopovich all of Asheville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Fellowship Building of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 754 Aiken Road, Asheville, NC. “Life is a song – sing it.
