Jermaine Woods Obituary

Obituary

Jermaine is the loving son of Raymond Woods and Pamela Pieper. He was baptized at Homewood Full Gospel Church. He attended Bryn Mawr Grammar School and Thornton High School, where he graduated and later went to the Navy. After the Navy, he moved to Lafayette, IN where he resided the rest of his adult life.

By day, Jermaine was a gifted barber. He had a talent for making people look and feel their best. An artist in every sense of the word, Jermaine could translate his thoughts and emotions into beautiful sketches and artwork. By night, he was employed at Wabash. It was there that he saw his last sunrise and sunset. He knew God and was a steward of God’s ultimate message of love.

He was always willing to help in any situation.  He lit up the room with his contagious smile. He had a fun, loving spirit, and legendary sense of humor. Jermaine was curious about the world and always up for a good conversation.

Jermaine is preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Mildred and Lucius Woods; three uncles, Greg Woods, Fred Woods, and Bruce Woods; one aunt, Debbie Weatherspoon, and a dear cousin, Sonji Woods.

He leaves to cherish his memory, grandmother, Maggie Patterson; mother, Pamela Pieper; father Raymond (Margo “Ma”) Woods; siblings, Jule Woods, Quincy (April) McWilliams, Angel Woods, Raymond (Maryann) Woods Jr.; children Autumn, Aaron, Alexus, and Sage; granddaughter, Aaliyah; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
