Pauline L. Roberts, 97, of Muncie passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 10,

2022. She was born March 25, 1925 in Trimble County Kentucky, to the late William and Bessie

(Miles) Law.

 

She came to Muncie, Indiana in 1942 and met James W. Roberts, the two were married on

June 14, 1946.

 

Pauline worked many places over the years including Sears, Delco Remy, Wells Department

Store and Britts Department Store before spending 20 years in home health care for the elderly.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, birds, and giving away her flowers.

Pauline was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and a member of the Full Gospel

Temple.

 

She is survived by her 2 sons, Ned A. (wife Kay) Roberts of Murfreesboro, TN, James D. (wife

Kathleen) Roberts of Roanoke, IN, and a daughter Deborah S. (husband Randy) Melton of

Muncie, IN; and 4 Grandchildren Melissa (husband Matthew) Austin, Joseph (wife Melissa)

Melton, Christine (husband Matthew) Thompson, and Amanda (husband Andrew) Wooldridge.

She also leaves behind 6 Great Grandchildren, a sister Edna Murphy of Rochester, IN, a brother

William “Billy” (wife Kay) Law of Madison, IN along with many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, James

William Roberts; son, Ronald A. Roberts; great grandson Landon Melton; brothers Frank Law

and Infant Kenneth Law; sisters Mary Bullock, Louise Hartman. Emogene Konkle and Infant Ora

Lee Law.

 

Services will be held on Thursday April 14 at 2:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in

Daleville, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at

Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
