Matthew Johnson, Jr. was born November 15, 1965 in Macon, Georgia to Matthew Johnson, Sr. and Bessie Stewart Johnson. He was a 1984 graduate of Central High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was stationed at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.

He attended Nova Fairfax Community College and was a former Chef at Regency Country Club in Manassas, Virginia and a former employee at the Ralston Purina Corporation of Macon, Georgia.

He was preceeded in death by his father, Matthew Johnson, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. William Stewart, Sr., and Mrs. Eula Hightower Stewart; paternal grandparents, Mr. Marshall Johnson. Sr., and Mrs. Viola Thomas Johnson; sister, Mrs. Kathleen Johnson Chaney and niece, Christina Sherrie Thomas.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bessie Johnson; girlfriend, Sharon Johnson; stepmother, Mrs. Betty Johnson; daughter, Ms. Destinie Johnson; grandson, Daylen Orr all of Macon, Georgia; two sons, Matthew Johnson, III and Tyler Scott Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland; four sisters and five brothers in law, Lynda and Lester Stovall, Beltsville, Maryland; Marie and Lonnie Ford, Elaine and Alonzo Person, III, and Chantelle and Roderick Duncan and Nathaniel Chaney all of Macon, Georgia; uncle, Lonnie Stewart (Ethel) of Lanham, Maryland; aunts, Mrs. Ethel Willis of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Doris Hightower of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ms. Annie Hightower of Miami, Florida and Mrs. Doris Pitts of Macon, Georgia; nephews, Anthony Stewart (Angela) of Columbia, Maryland, Nathaniel Chaney, III (Ashley), Mathis Chaney, Cedric Chaney(Wendy) of Macon, Georgia, Adonis Person, Sr, (Kourtney) of McDonough, Georgia, Isaiah Person of Lithonia, Georgia and Shaquille Person of Stockbridge, Georgia; niece, Alondra Person of Macon, Georgia; special friends, Troy Lawrence, Ernest Barber, George Joe Kemp, Lynn Wynn, Darryl and Ann Blasingame all of Macon and Tanya Dugger of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
