Marilyn Williams Obituary

Marilyn Reid Williams, 90, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022.  She was born on October 3, 1931 to Melvin C. and Anna Reid in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1949 in Cedar Rapids, she went to Anderson College to study Christian Education. There she met her future husband, Loren R. Williams, who survives. They were married January 5, 1951 and had been married for 71 years at the time of her death. Marilyn and Loren were blessed with three children, Deborah F. Smith (Don) and Susan Kline (John), who survive, and a son, James Allen Williams, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased  by her older sister, Shirley Lerch, and is survived by her brother, Dan Reid (Kathy), and three nieces and one nephew, all living in Oregon. During her lifetime, Marilyn was an active member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the Chancel Choir, played handbells in the Chancel Ringers, and loved participating in Elderberries activities with Loren. 

Memorial visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time.
