<p>Debra Jane Whitfield, 66, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Saturday,&nbsp;April 9, 2022 at home.&nbsp; She was born on June 6, 1955 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Ray Barton and Thelma&nbsp;&quot;Jane&quot; (Hanks) Hockenbury.&nbsp; On October 8, 1977 in Stonerstown Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to John &quot;Pete&quot; O. Whitfield.</p> <p>Along with her husband, she is survived by a son John Whitfield married to Amanda, Bedford; her pride and joy was her two grandchildren Dakota and Johnny; and siblings Cindy married to Dave Ahlstrand, Ray Hockenbury Jr. married to Diane (Sparks) and Sarah married to Daniel Smith.</p> <p>Debra worked at Quality Manufacturing in Saxton and later making cakes for individuals for special occasions.&nbsp; She also ran with the Saxton Ambulance Division for a number of years.</p> <p>She was a Harry Potter fan, collecting memorabilia.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc.,&nbsp;299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.</p> <p>Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Lay Speaker C.R. Debra Jane Whitfield, 66, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at home.  She was born on June 6, 1955 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Ray Barton and Thelma "Jane" (Hanks) Hockenbury.  On October 8, 1977 in Stonerstown Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to John "Pete" O. Whitfield.
