Barbara Jean Coble

<p>Barbara Jean Coble, 79, passed away on April 5, 2022.&nbsp; Our beloved Barb was born in Akron, OH on December 17, 1942, to the late Robert and Maxine (Lenner) Horning.&nbsp; She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Dennis Coble; her daughter, Julie (David) Phillips; her son, Rob Young; step-children, Chris (Erin) Coble, Sarah Coble, and Jennifer Coble; brother, Deane (Terri) Horning; nephew Chris Horning; niece Mackenzie (Al) Tenkku; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.</p> <p>Barb graduated from Akron City Hospital School of Nursing and her career included working for the late Dr. C.C. Voorhis, Robinson Memorial Hospital and Happy Day School.&nbsp; She retired from nursing, but continued to nurture and support her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she doted on.&nbsp; She truly enjoyed family get-togethers and loved to plan games and events for many occasions.</p> <p>Barb was a lifetime member of St. Patrick Church and was also an active member of the Kent Coterie Club.&nbsp; Barb will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.&nbsp; She will always be remembered for her smile, grace and dignity that reflect the life that she lived.</p> <p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church in Kent on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Fr. Chad Johnson as Celebrant.&nbsp; A private burial at Standing Rock Cemetery will be held at a later date.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Church, 313 N. Depeyster St., Kent, OH 44240.</p>

Barb was the nurse at Happy Day school when my daughter was a student there. She was always so thoughtful and compassionate to all who came in contact with her. My deepest sympathy to her family. How blessed her family and friends are to have had her in their lives.
