Kate Ashmore Bentley

Mrs. Kate Ashmore Bentley, 62 of Metasville Rd., Lincolnton entered into rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Augusta University Medical Center.

Mrs. Bentley, daughter of the late Robert W. and Martha Edmunds Ashmore was born in Dr. Weems Pennington’s Clinic in Lincolnton on November 25, 1959. She has been a lifelong resident of Lincolnton and had worked at Milky Way Freeze Bar many years ago. She dearly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Before she became unable to work in her yard, she always enjoyed working with her flowers and growing tomatoes each year. Her daughter, Dana Bentley Berry passed away on Mother’s Day in 2020.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 46 years, Richard T. Bentley; son, Russell T. Bentley; grandchildren, Abby Berry and Colton Berry and son-in-law, Ashley Berry; brothers, Roy Lee Ashmore and wife Judy, Robert W. Ashmore and wife Teresa; sister, Frankie Partridge and husband Roger; sisters-in-law, Brenda Goolsby and husband Larry, Rosalyn Guillebeau and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Lincolnton United Methodist Church, River of Life, P.O. Box 85, Lincolnton, Ga 30817. 

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 3pm at Lincolnton City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 1pm until 2:30pm at Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave., Lincolnton, Ga.
