Mr. Billy Gene Carson 77 of Benton, KY, died at 11:20pm Thursday at his home. He was born May 29,1934 in Kirksey, KY, to the late Robert & Meadow (Wilson) Carson.

Mr. Carson was a member of South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from General Tire and Rubber Co. with 33 yrs of service.

He is survived by his wife;Phyllis J. (Maupin) Carson, to whom he was married, May 24,1959, two sons; Ricky Gene Carson (Denay), and Donald Carson, two sisters; Mary Buchanan, and Shirley Heath (Donnie), two brothers; James Carson, and Edwin Carson, six grandchildren; Tyler Carson, Matthew Carson, Lauren Carson (fiance,Brian Couch), Skyler Carson, Jennifer Gross, & Tommy Starks (Christy), and three great grandchildren; Kaylee Starks, Shawn Starks, and Ryan Starks.

He was preceded in death by one sister; Virginia Carson, and one brother; Donald Carson.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday at York Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Eugene Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens, with military honors. Friends may visit from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday at York Funeral Home.
