<p>Phyllis Ann (Sorenson) Allely entered into eternal peace on Friday April 1, 2022, at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa. At the age of 85 years, 8 months and 7 days.</p> <p>Phyllis was born on July 25, 1936, the daughter of Jessie Bess Sorenson and Helen Wave (Ragland) Sorenson in Stanbury, Missouri. She grew up in Imogene, Iowa and attended Imogene school then graduated from Farragut High School with the Class of 1954.</p> <p>On November 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to Donald Jay Allely, the love of her life, in Sidney, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Dennis, Rick, and Cindy. The couple resided in Shenandoah, IA. Phyllis and Don were blessed with nearly 67 years of marriage.</p> <p>Phyllis enjoyed working at Ray Stewart Produce, and for Janice at Ladies Apparel.</p> <p>She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. She enjoyed playing cards at the Elks Lodge with the girls. Phyllis looked forward to having coffee with Sarah at the Depot. Watching baseball, the College World Series and cheering on Nebraska gave her much joy.</p> <p>Family was the most important thing in Phyllis&#39;s life. She loved being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.</p> <p>When you entered Phyllis&#39; home, you could instantly see how much she enjoyed antiques and family, especially all the photos.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents and brother William &quot;Bill&quot; Sorenson. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Donald; children Dennis and wife Bonnie Allely of Shenandoah, IA, Richard &ldquo;Ricky&rdquo; Allely of Council Bluffs, IA, and Cynthia &ldquo;Cindy&rdquo; and husband Gary Arman of Shenandoah, IA; grandchildren Myles Brummel, Brett Allely,&nbsp;Macy Reeves, Olivia Allely and Nathan Allely; great-grandchildren Taylor Brummel and Oliver Reeves; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</p> <p>Memorials may be directed to the Shenandoah Elks Lodge building fund.&nbsp;</p> <p>A celebration of Life Memorial Gathering for Phyllis will be held at the Shenandoah Elks Lodge #1122 at 1:00pm on Sunday, May 15, 2022, with food and fellowship.</p>

Memorials may be directed to the Shenandoah Elks Lodge building fund.
