We regret to announce the passing of Amden Jamar Nelson, 32, of St. Stephen, SC who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in St. Stephen, SC.  Amden was the loving father of Jaelya Nelson and Eli Nelson, the loving son of Alphonza Ross and Cynthia Nelson and the loving brother of Quatia Singleton, Terik Nelson, Deandre Pressley, Derrell Pressley and Davonte Pressley.

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF AMDEN JAMAR NELSON

Amden Jamar Nelson was the son of Cynthia Nelson and Wayne Ross. Amden was born on May 7, 1989 in Charleston, South Carolina. He transitioned peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Amden received his education in the Berkeley County School System. He was employed with Santee Cooper, Cross, South Carolina.

Preceding him in death is his great-grandmother, Hattie Nelson; grandfathers, Melvin McConnell and Herman Lee Nole; grandmother, Dorothy Mouzon; cousins, Parker Nelson and Marvin “Nick” Lampkin.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Cynthia “Nita” Nelson of St. Stephen, South Carolina; father, Wayne Alphonso (Monique) Ross of North Carolina; his children, Jaelya Nelson and Eli Nelson of South Carolina; sister, Quatia Singleton; brothers: Terik Nelson and Devonte Pressley of South Carolina; Javonne Revish of Virginia, Derrell Pressley of Georgia and DeAndre Pressley of New York; grandparents, Mary Lue Jones and Vivian Nole of South Carolina. special aunt, Doralee Reid; uncle/Godfather, Kevin (Linda) Nelson; aunt/Godmother, Sheila Blandon of South Carolina; aunts: Valorie (Alex) Hagan of Florida, Cindy Lampkin of Georgia, Fredrenia Thornall, Tikkia (Stuart) Whitney, Jacqueline Prioleau, Yvonne (Napoleon) Gadsden, Veronne (Darrell) Davis, Lechele (Wilford) Brown, all of South Carolina; uncles: Darrell (Suzanna) Williams, William (Beverly) Nelson, Leonard Nelson of South Carolina; Olanda (Donna) Mouzon and Gregory Johnson of Georgia; Don Middleton, Sr. of Maryland; nephews and nieces: Kwahlee, Kwah’Maine, Kareem, Kaden, Karmentt, Aniyah, Mariah, Reagan and Logan; special friends, Jerrlyn and Maggie and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

 

Viewing for Amden J. Nelson will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Divinity Mortuary.

Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Memorial Cemetery, Greentown Rd. Alvin, SC 29479

 

A face mask must be worn at both the viewing and service.
