Alfred Robert Huber Obituary

Alfred R. Huber, 82 of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 4, 1939 in Chicago, the son of Walter and Dorothy (Locy) Huber, Sr. Alfred was a US Navy Veteran and an ironworker. On December 1, 1962 in Merrillville, he married Joyce King, who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving is his daughter Arlene (Doug) Lovall of Valparaiso, 4 grandchildren, Shanon Otto, Sean Saulsberry and Aaron and Anna Lovall, 6 great grandchildren, a sister Dorothy (Jack) Whitworth of Valparaiso, his beloved dog Lucy and extended Tharp family. He was preceded in death by his sons James and Bobby Huber, his parents, a great-grandson and his brother Walter Huber, Jr. Alfred enjoyed hunting, country music, 50’s and 60’s rock music, western and war movies, but most important was his family. Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, 10:30 to 11:30 am at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso with Funeral Services at 11:30 am, Pastor Dan Huhn officiating. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations be sent to curemeso.org or mesorfa.org
