Lurray D. Blatchford, age 83 of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born September 29, 1938 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Eugene R. Bailey and Ruth Adele (Beeker) Wheat Bailey.  A retired customer service representative with area banks, most recenly BNY Mellon, Lurray enjoyed needlepoint and reading in her spare time and was obsessed with cookbooks and word searches.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Earl Blatchford, who passed away June 15, 1996, her brother Charles Wheat, and her sister Ellen B. Singleton.  Lurray is survived by her brother Eugene (Sandra) Bailey of Newark, DE; her nieces and nephews: Carrie (Shane) O'Hare, Brooke (Matthew) Hopkins, Elaine (Jim) Bubella, Donna (David) Miller, Charles (Sharon) Wheat, Jr., Janine (Bill) Cain, Kevin Singleton, Katherine and Neve O'Hare, and Andrew Evans; and also other family and many dear friends.  Funeral arrangements for Lurray are private at the convenience of the family and in the charge of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
