<p><span style="font-size:16px;">Donald Brant, 73, passed away March 31, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born July 14, 1948 in Maysville, Kentucky, Donald grew up in Freeport, Pennsylvania where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Maxine. They set a wonderful example of marriage for their children and grandchildren by always sticking together through the good and bad. He led his family with great faith and love. Donald was a proud Veteran and Nurse Anesthetist. He began his nursing career in the Army Nurse Corps. His work as a CRNA was his ministry and he put his whole heart into taking care of his patients. Donald touched many lives in his 40 year career retiring in 2014. Involved in his church, he enjoyed many years singing in the parish choir. He had a beautiful tenor voice. He loved music and used it to help him power through his struggles. Anyone who knew him knew that he had a steadfast faith. He had many hobbies from horseback riding, to detailing cars, boating and he loved riding his motorcycle. He had a funny sense of humor and even in his suffering, he did his best to make his grandchildren laugh and give them good things to remember.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">We will miss him dearly, but we are happy that he is now at peace and that he finally gets to meet his Jesus. Survived by his wife of 53 years Maxine; children Kristin (Jeff) Barr, Dawn (Mike) Kohout, Steven (Shannon) Brant; grandchildren Jeffrey (Taryn) Barr, Nathaniel (Nikkie) Barr, Michaela and Katherine Barr, Mariah and Cade Dellinger, Nolan Carter, Demi Brant; and great-grandson Levi Barr. Preceded in death by parents Addison and Martha Brant; siblings Lynette, Susan, Robert and Wayne Brant and Mary Lee Nevitt; and niece Cheryl Demek.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Calling hours are Sunday April 10th 3-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday April 11th at 11 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father John Zapp celebrant. Final resting place is Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
