Orintha "Rinnie" Orbaker

Newark - Orintha M. Orbaker, 81, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.

The family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St, Newark. Rinnie's funeral service will follow visitation at 3 p.m. Private burial will be at Newark Cemetery.

Orintha was born the daughter of the late Gaily and Sarah (Schetrompf) Clevenger on Thursday, August 8, 1940, in Buck Valley, PA. She grew up in the Lyons area, graduating from Lyons High School. Rinnie worked for Newark Developmental Center and would retire after thirty-seven years. She was the past president of Clyde, Newark, Wayne County, and Northern Central Ladies Auxiliary Fire Departments. Rinnie was a judge for the Northern Central parades for over forty years. Rinnie had a green thumb and could grow anything and loved watching birds, tending her gardens, and reading. Most of all, she cherished time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Orintha will be remembered by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert Orbaker; children David (Julie) Orbaker, Jackie (Darrel) Foster, Tina Orbaker and Kim Orbaker; grandchildren Corey Haig, Jeremy Haig, Zach Orbaker and Mariah (Zach) Niederriter; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Hunter, Adelynn and Harper; sister, Mava Cottle; sisters-in-law, Peggy Clevenger, Hilda Clevenger and Sharon Mabie; several nieces and nephews.

Orintha was predeceased by her siblings John (Helen) Clevenger, Howard Clevenger, Scott Clevenger and Art Clevenger; brother-in-law, Bill Cottle.
