<p>Loretta Pearl Finney, 74, of Rayland, OH, passed away, Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital.</p> <p>She was born August 20, 1947, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late John Joseph and Dorothy Pearl (Hartline) Finney.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eldred Lee Finney and Loretta Mae Gschwender Finney and maternal grandparents, Colonel and Lola Pearl (May) Hartline.</p> <p>Loretta was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and was a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant High School Alumni Association. After graduating from Wheeling Hospital School of Registered Nurses, she worked for 35 years at Wheeling Hospital, working most of those years in the Intensive Care Unit, and was a member of the Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. Loretta also taught EMT&rsquo;S/Paramedics for West Virginia Northern Community College. She worked for various Ambulance Services throughout the Valley, making emergency transfers, a Director of Nurses at a nursing home and a 23-year member of Jefferson County Agricultural Society. Loretta was a polio patient from the polio epidemic of 1952. She struggled physically throughout her life and ended up in a wheelchair.</p> <p>Loretta is survived by her son, Daniel (Renee) Finney; two grandsons, Tyler Mostia and Nathan Finney; two brothers, Michael (Gail) Finney and Timothy (Sharon) Finney; two sisters, Cecilia (Rick) Biram and Christina (David) Franks and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Friends will be received to pay tribute to Loretta and celebrate her life on Friday, April 1st, from 5-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service of 11 am.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
