Janet L. Nicholas (nee Baker), 81, of Middlefield, OH passed away peacefully Sunday morning, March 27th, 2022 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, OH. She was born in Georges, PA on August 14th, 1940 to the late William E. and Virginia E. (Teets) Bakers. Janet is once again reunited with her loving husband, Harry G. Nicholas, who died September 3rd, 2005.

She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family. Janet liked babysitting and being the neighborhood mom. In her more recent years, she enjoyed going to the Senior Center and doing ceramics. Janet also liked going to lunch with her friends.

Janet will be greatly missed by: her children, Debbie (Christa) Nicholas, Conrad (Kristina) Nicholas, Bill Nicholas; grandchildren, Troy Nicholas, Travis Nicholas, Erica Kantz, Jordan (Charles) Spencer, Tyler (Kelley) Cain; Patrick (Megan) Duderstadt, Isaac (Kat) Duderstadt; great-grandchildren, Aalexis, Sophia, Bryson, Connor, Ivy Grace, Hayleigh, Grayson; brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Nicholas, Eddie (Millie) Eland, Raymond Eland. and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; brothers, William Eland, Robert Eland; and sister, Nora Douglas.   

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., THURSDAY, MARCH 31ST, 2022 AT BEST FUNERAL HOME, 15809 MADISON RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Pastor Bob Richardson officiating. Family and friend will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 30th, 2022 at the funeral home. Janet’s final resting place will be in Munn Road Cemetery, Newbury, Ohio.
