Ronald D. Edwards, 64, of Witt, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. surrounded by his family at his residence in Witt, IL. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Ralph Ward will officiate.

Mr. Edwards was born on April 10, 1957 to the late Guy O. Edwards and Fern E. (Stanton) Edwards. He was a Hillsboro High School graduate, Class of 1975. Mr. Edwards was a member of Local #50 and #135 Teamsters Union. He married Brenda Dowdy on May 14, 1983 in Coffeen, IL; she survives in Witt, IL. Mr. Edwards had lived in Hillsboro, IL; Irving, IL; and Witt, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Brenda Edwards of Witt, IL; his brothers and sisters, Rosalin Williams of Coffeen, IL; Brenda (husband, Raymond) Murray of Hillsboro, IL; Glen (wife, Carol) Edwards of Marine, IL; and Mary Jane (husband Brad) Niemann of Hillsboro, IL; nieces and nephews,  Monica (husband Wayne) Lloyd ; Dallas (wife Gail) Edwards; Jim Edwards; Tammy Waldee; Tina (husband Craig) Huntsinger; Craig Murray; Chad (wife Jenna) Edwards; Drew (wife Beth) Edwards; Andrew (wife Kristin) Niemann; Nicholas (wife Nicole) Dowdy; Jace Dowdy; Kiana Dowdy; and Jake (wife Jacklyn) Dowdy; brother-in-laws, Charles (wife, Wanda) Dowdy of Georgia and David (wife Melissa) Dowdy of Irving, IL; sister-in-law, Judy Edwards; and his dog, Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy O. Edwards and Fern E. (Stanton) Edwards; and his brother, Larry Edwards.
