<p><strong><span style="font-size:26px;">Charles Martin Heckman, Sr., age 80 of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Troy Care and Rehab. He was born on February 4, 1942 in Dayton, OH to the late Raymond and Violet (nee Rehmert) Heckman.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:26px;">In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sons Charles Martin Heckman, Jr. and Timothy Heckman; and brother John Heckman.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:26px;">Those left to cherish Charles&rsquo; memory include his wife Nancy (Longnecker) Heckman; daughter Kimberly Scott (James) of Troy; grandchildren Thomas Cook (Summer) and Christopher Cook; great-grandchildren Nevaeh Cook and James Cook; and brothers Thomas Heckman of Huber Heights and Paul Heckman (Mildred) of Hillsboro.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:26px;">Charles was a graduate of Colonel White High School in Dayton and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycles, and working on cars. He taught many people how to drive over the years. Charles retired from Spinnaker in Troy and had previously worked for the former NCR in Dayton and Hobart Corp in Troy as a machine operator.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:26px;">A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, March 25, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Father Michael Samala officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home. Private interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Cherish Hospice: 14 E. Main St. Suite 275, Springfield, OH 45502. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.&nbsp;</span></strong></p>
