It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hilkka Irene Miller on March 14, 2022 at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, in Elliot Lake, after a 6 month battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Dennis (who loved her dearly during their 16 years together). Loving son Timothy Saarinen (Anne), granddaughter Emma Saarinen, grandson Samuel Saarinen (Jiayin), and great grandson Jonah Saarinen. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hilkka was born in Finland, traveled much and finally settled in Elliot Lake in 1995.
