<p>On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, Jimmie Harris Passed away at 89 years of age.&nbsp; He was born on April 28, 1932 in Peekskill, NY and was the son of James and Gladys Harris.&nbsp; Surviving Jimmie is his wife Joanie (Kehoe) of 64 years.&nbsp; He is also survived by four daughters, Kathleen (Jim) Smith of Hamburg, NJ, Wendy (Curt) Willis of Monson, MA, Patricia (Steve) Clark of Londonderry, NH and Kimberly (Mike) Andrusin of Hackettstown, NJ.</p> <p>He resided in Rockaway Township for over 75 years and was a graduate of Dover High School&rsquo;s Class of 1950.&nbsp; Jimmie Worked proudly for the Reaction Motors Corporation in Lake Denmark for many years.&nbsp; This was truly his favorite job and a highlight in his life.&nbsp; As an avid sportsman, he loved to hunt and fish; and was a member of the Rockaway Township Sportsmen&rsquo;s Club for over 50 years.&nbsp; Two of those years, he held the office of President.&nbsp; Jimmie had also been a member of the New Jersey Federation of Sportsmen&rsquo;s Clubs where he served as a trustee for many years.&nbsp; A dedicated gardener, many of Jimmie&rsquo;s days were spent cultivating bountiful vegetables in his large, backyard garden.&nbsp; In addition, Jimmie was a long-time supportive participant in the congregation of Teabo United Methodist Church.</p> <p>Jimmie was Grandpa to 11 grandchildren:&nbsp; Andrew, Gregory (Alyssa), Stephanie, Jessica (Scott) Laviolette, Rebecca (Mike) Cowan, Erin, Tyler (Lauren), Joseph, Colleen (Drew), Nicholas (Emily), Lucas, and two adorable great grandsons, Beckett and Cal.</p> <p>Visitation will be held 1-4pm on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton.</p> <p>A funeral service will be held 10am on Tuesday at the funeral home.</p> <p>Interment will follow at St. Cecilia&rsquo;s Cemetery, Rockaway.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teabo United Methodist Church, 47 Teabo Road, Wharton, NJ 07885.</p>

A funeral service will be held 10am on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Rockaway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teabo United Methodist Church, 47 Teabo Road, Wharton, NJ 07885.
