It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Anthony Walsh of Marystown announces his passing. Anthony passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at the age of 93.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his sons, Kevin Walsh (Carlie) of CBS and Jim Walsh (Marjorie) of CBS; daughters, Marion Murphy (William) of Marystown, Joan Drake (Aloysius) of Marystown and Sheila Miller (Ronald) of Marystown; 10 grandchildren, Stephen Walsh (Lynn), Sean Murphy (Melissa), Connie Slade (Jamie), Jaymee Miller (James), Tony Walsh (Amy), Margaret Drake (Chris), April Drake (Jared), Leonora Coady, Desmond Coady, and Fionn Coady; 8 great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Hannah, Owen, Daria, Peyton, Graidy, and D’Arcy; sister, Bernice Dimmer of Florida; sister-in-law, Ann Walsh of Dunville; special friend and homecare worker, Kathy Wiscombe and his other homecare workers, Theresa Gaudet, Judy Kelly, and Angie Drake; plus a large number of family and friends.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Walsh, baby boy, Herbert, parents, Anthony and Mary Ellen Walsh; brothers, Ignatius Walsh, Vince Walsh, Joseph Walsh, Lawrence Walsh, and Bernard Walsh; sisters, Genevieve Riquelmy and Mary Dimmer.

The Walsh Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Marystown on Sunday, March 20th from 10am to 12pm, 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, March 21st, 2022 at 10:30am.

Inurnment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.

In Anthony’s memory donations may be made to The Walsh Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
